A New Name
Over 25 Years of Service
KHA Civil Engineers, Inc. began operations in March of 1999 with the desire to provide quality civil engineering services to commercial, municipal, utility, institutional, industrial, private development, and military clients. We are a small, yet experienced, Civil Engineering firm that specializes in development and utility planning, design, and permitting for both private and public projects. Since inception, the firm has grown both in personnel and in our standing within the professional community. Our success can be attributed to long-term repeat work from our core group of clients. We are proud of this and feel it reflects positively on our consistent level of service. With all the complexities involved in a development or utility project, one can rest assured that each and every project will offer unique challenges. KHA pledges to work through those challenges with determination, energy, creativity, and above all a "team-player" spirit. At KHA we are confident that the combination of our experience and technical abilities, coupled with our perseverance, positive attitude, and tenacity allows us to serve our clients in a uniquely satisfactory manner.

"Sustainability in Construction"
Over the past two decades KHA has gained a wealth of knowledge in civil engineering through our involvement in regional projects. As the foundation of planning, development, and infrastructure projects, we realize our role as civil engineers to provide a service to the community. At KHA, we believe that sustainability in construction is necessary for the responsible growth of the built environment. A sustainable ideal is required to, not only, be respectful of our habitat, but also to reduce costs throughout the phases of construction and long after the project has been completed.
Stormwater
Water is the lifeblood of the City of Pensacola, and stormwater management plays a crucial role in all construction projects. KHA has developed a thorough understanding of stormwater management through our involvement in the 2009 City of Pensacola Surface Water Quality Analysis, in which we analyzed the effects of designing thoughtful stormwater management systems and their abilities to reduce the pollutants which harm our area waterways.
Utility
For more than two decades our engineers have worked with local utility companies to develop and implement design solutions, as well as provide consulting services. We are experienced in working with Escambia County Utilities Authority, the AHJ for public works, and Milton Water Users; among many others.
Permitting
From NPDES to the City of Pensacola, we provide permitting services to assist clients in meeting the requirements of local, state, and federal agencies.
Master Planning
Master planning involves understanding an existing infrastructure as well as anticipating its future needs and uses. KHA has provided planning, design, and implementation of stormwater management for a handful of projects including PCC's "South" and "East" campuses, as well as the Escambia County Health Department.
Site Design
We partner with many architecture and development firms to provide design services which will meet the unique needs of each client. Our site design services include demolition, grading, staking, paving, erosion control, drainage, and utility plans. KHA is committed to the respectful development/re-development of our local community.
Consulting
KHA also provides services to help projects stay on schedule and within budget. We provide Value Engineering services to assist clients in determining which methods or materials may best suit their needs. Our wealth of knowledge in Design/Build projects also allows us to approach consulting services from an equal base.
